The 2025 GPPSD Employee Wellness Professional Learning Day will take place on Friday, February 28th. Registration will open Friday, January 31st at 8:30a.m. and will close Tuesday, February 11th at midnight. Requirements:
All Staff are required to attend the Morning Gathering at the Composite High School from 8:15-9:30, this will automatically be added to your schedule.
All Staff must register for and attend two breakout sessions between 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. You have the option of registering for a third session or using any one of the session times for a lunch break. *Please only register for sessions you will attend as space in each session is limited*

All sessions have limited capacities and registration is first come, first served. You are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Once a session is full, you will have the option to be added to a waitlist but must still register for 2 sessions.
Pickle Ball Lesson with Marc Pitre, Poach Pickleball Learn to plan Pickle ball from a pro! We will have 4 courts set up, with room for 4 participants on each court. Participants will be divided by experience level. *Clean indoor shoes are required for this session *If you have your own pickleball paddle please bring it, there will be extras available for those who do not have their own.
Marc Pitre is a competitive Pickle Ball Player sponsored by Poach Pickleball A little about Marc: I absolutely love sports ranging from Badminton, Pickleball, squash, ping pong, volleyball, hockey, golf, track etc. My main sport when growing up was badminton playing competitively throughout grades 7-12. In grade 12 I went to Artic Winter Games for Team Alberta North in Whitehorse Yukon. I was #1 Ranked player in Grade 12 Provincials. I Started playing Pickle Ball recreational in 2018. In 2021 I stated playing competitively in Alberta at the beginner self-rated level 3.0. I soon realized that I was underrated and have moved up very quickly playing 4.5 level now and sponsored tournament player for Poach Pickleball. I have had great success winning 30 medals in various tournaments in Alberta and Saskatchewan. In 2022 I played in event called Pickle fest, This was the top players in the west. Playing in teams of 4, 2 men and 2 women. We ended up getting bronze and a bit of cash winnings. Every year mainly summer I compete in tournaments in Edmonton and Calgary other various communities. Provincials, Westerns and Nationals.
